We invite you to join or renew your membership to CMPS. There are two types of membership: one for artists ("Artist Members"), and one for members of the public who are not artists but wish to support and learn more about work in pastel ("Supporting Members"). Membership offers many benefits:

For Artist Members

Discounted entry fees to our open exhibitions: our Marks of Distinction national, and others we may sponsor from time to time
An inclusive, low-entry-fee Members-only exhibit, juried for prizes only for both advanced and developing artists
Discounted registration fees for in-person and online workshops
Members-only perks, including:
- free demos
- free artist talks
- drawings for free materials
- featured artist and directory visibility
- quarterly newsletter to share news and events
- a members-only webpage with technique videos, tips, artist interviews, and other insider information
- in-person and virtual social and painting get-togethers
- member discussion forums, polls, and non-show get-togethers

Quarterly newsletter with information about CMPS artists and events that are sponsored by CMPS, such as our national show, or by member artists, including special events such as holiday and solo shows, gallery receptions, or book signings
Directory visibility

Membership is for the calendar year beginning January 1 and ending December 31, regardless of the date of payment. On activation of a new membership, you will receive information for creating a log-in. We will email you prior to your membership expiration so that your benefits may continue uninterrupted.

Regular Member - $40.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments

Signature Member - $50.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Signature Membership is by application only. Do not pay for Signature Membership until your application has been reviewed and accepted by the Signature Committee. Information about application is below.

Student Artist Member - $25.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments Student Artists must be be matriculated in a full-time art program at a college, university, or atelier.

Supporting Member (Non-Artist) - $30.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year, on: January 1st No automatically recurring payments For non-artists interested in supporting CMPS and learning more about pastel

Applying for Signature Membership

Artists may apply for Signature membership after being a Regular Artist Member of CMPS for a minimum of 9 months.

The CMPS Signature committee reviews applications for Signature membership annually. Applications are accepted between August 1 and November 1, with notification on December 1.
