Founded in 2019, the Central Mass Pastel Society (CMPS) has developed a reputation as a lively, forward-looking society where pastel artists at all levels come together to develop their skills, show their work, and engage with their fellow artists. CMPS is a 501(c) 3 corporation and a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies.
CMPS is committed to pursuing fresh ideas and supporting individual artistic expression within the framework of our stated mission:
To promote education and interest in soft pastel as a fine art medium, and to set standards of excellence in its use in the state of Massachusetts, nationally, and internationally.
