Joelle Feldman
"I am a representational painter who responds to my immediate environment, a place and a moment in time that feeds my soul and inspires my art. I respond to the vibrancy, subtleties and shadows that nature may offer at a given moment. I also delight in the form, texture and color found in everyday objects. My work is always evolving as I explore new techniques and materials and discover new ways to experiment with the pastel medium, watercolors and oils." Born and raised in Normandy, France, Joelle L. Feldman has made New England her home since 1981. Although primarily self-taught, Joelle has learned from and studied with many of the best New England and National Master and Eminent Pastelists. An award-winning artist and sought-after painting instructor, Joelle’s work has been accepted in Members and National Juried Shows of the Copley Society of Art in Boston MA, the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod, the Pastel Society of New Hampshire, the Connecticut Pastel Society, the Pastel Society Maine, the Concord Art Association and the NH Art Association. In 2015, she was selected as one of the 80 Dusty Fingers artists in the Artists of Residence Program (AIR) at the Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA. |
